  How do I make this effect in AE?

  I’m almost embarassed to post this. I made the following effect myself a while back in AE and I can’t figure out how I did it. I believe it was a standard AE effect. Not sure if it’s a distort and blur combined or just one effect. Can anyone take a look at the clip below and tell me how do replicate this effect?

  Looks like a Box Blur or Lens Blur to me.

  Keyframe the box blur effect from 50 (bluriness) to 0 or even a fast blur would work.
