  Mac Premiere 6.0 to PC Premiere Pro CS4 EDLs

  I’ve got an odd problem. Trying to revive and reedit material I cut back in 2000 using a mac with Premiere 6.0. I want to rework the material with Premiere CS4 or FCP, but for some reason the EDLs that 6.0 exports – sony, cmx or grass valley – don’t import properly into Premiere or Final Cut Pro – the reel numbers are replaced with sequential numbers for each clip in the timeline. Ins and outs might not be right either.
  Does anyone have any experience with this? I read somewhere that I need to open the old mac premiere projects in a PC Premiere pro CS4 project and export XML files, but CS4 doesn’t recognize the old Premiere projects – files don’t have .pprproj extension.
