  Captured recording disappeared!

  Hi,
  I’m running version 3.2.0 (374) on a MacBook Pro (OSX 10.5.8, 2.4GHz 2GB RAM and 150GB internal SATA) and have just been capturing 2 hours of a live event.
  I then pressed esc to end the record which brought up the file name and notes dialog, I pressed save and then nothing. The files did not appear in the project explorer, in the save destination on the hard disc and nothing is in the cache. I even just had a go with some file recovery software but it found nothing.

  I did a test before the record and it was fine, I also did a test after and have those two files are where they should be, but the large important file is missing.

  Does anyone have an ideas of how to recover the recording? It must have saved it somewhere in a temp file but I’m just having no luck whatsoever!

  Any responses would be gladly received.

  I don’t mean to scare you, but is it possible you tapped the esc key after naming the file? If so then your recording is gone. It flushes the file if you hit esc 1 time to stop the recording, then tap it again a 2nd time it flushes it from the system.

  I don’t like that you didn’t see it enter the project panel. Can you recapture it?

  Another possibility is that the recording was going to a drive that could take the whole recording time and has also become gone from that possibility too.
