Everything is perfect in my Premiere projects – all audio/video is sync’d super super tight. When I make a dvd, perfect, when I output an avi file, perfect. However, when I go to export it for youtube through premiere’s “adobe media encoder” (and I choose H264, and then 640×480 for youtube), it always gives me an mpeg4 file that the audio gets ahead of the video by 2 to 4 frames. What is going on with this?
It’s driving me nuts! Of course, I can go in and push the audio back in time and then render it again (sometimes again and again) until I’ve guessed right and it winds up in sync, but this is freaking frustrating!

Can anyone help me with this? La******@*******th.net

    Thanks,
    Eric

I remember seeing this in CS4 after a certain Quicktime update.
Sorry, I really can’t be much more specific, but you could try rolling back to a previous QT version to fix the issue.

We ended up simply nesting the sequence and moving the audio by a few frames before export everytime we need Quicktime out. The issue is definitely gone in CS5.
