Hi everyone, I’m looking to stream .mp4 files to Android phones. I’ve been producing a file by converting a .wmv in Sorenson Squeeze 4, so I know it’s possible. I’m looking to cut Squeeze out of the work flow, but have been unable to replicate a working file in Premiere (I’m using CS4). I’ve been trying to export all kinds of files, none of which work for streaming. Some of them will play if downloaded to the phone, but none of them will stream.

From what I’ve been reading, it seems like this is an mdat/atom issue, but I don’t know much about that sort of thing.

Looking at the file that DOES work in GSpot gives me the following information:

    Container:

    mp42: MP4 v2 [ISO 14496-14]
    – isom: MP4 Base Media v1 [IS0 14496-12:2003]
    Recommended Display Size: 320 x 240
    Created: 2010 Jun 30 07:57:24
    Modified: 2010 Jun 30 07:57:24

    Video:

    Codec : m4v
    Name: MPEG-4 Video
    Codec: Codec Status Undetermined
    FPS: 24
    WxH: 320×240
    sar: 1.333 (4:3)
    par: 1.000 (1:1)
    dar: 1.333 (4:3)

    Audio:

    Codec: mp4a: MPEG-4 AAC LC
    16000Hz, mono, (1,0)

Does anyone have any ideas on how to get this working? Or am I doomed to exporting from Premiere just to export from Squeeze again?
