When I try to export my video out of Adobe Premiere Pro 2, it loses a lot of quality. My video is 1440×1080. I’ve tried exporting it as HD Anamorphic 1080 which I believe is for 1440×1080. But the video ends up becoming “squished” in a way. I just want to retain the original quality and video, which I seem able to do in Adobe After Effects but not in Adobe Premiere ):.
I’ve tried all the export types… Microsoft Avi, Microsoft DV Avi, Uncompressed Microsoft Avi..the best seeming to be Microsoft Avi.

I’m not sure what compressor type to choose…I’m putting the quality up to high, but the video just doesn’t keep the same quality…

I would NOT export HD footage uncompressed as any AVI, the file will be too large and probably not play well at all.

What I would do is select MPEG2 and the preset “HDTV 1080-30fps” (I use 30 for my frame rate but you’ll have to select whatever frame rate you use”.

MPEG2’s look awesome, don’t be afraid of losing quality.

Here’s an example of these export settings:

It is 1440×1080, HD anamorphic means that the pixel aspect ratio is 1.33 which means the pixel is longer than high compared to a square pixel, if viewed on something that expects square pixels the video will appear squished vertically, what are you trying to view the video file on?
