    Why when I’m laying an MXF file onto my timline on a premiere cs4 proj. the audio tracks goes straight to tracks 4,6,7,8? and I can’t put them on tracks 1-4.
    plus what is the best sequens present to b open using footage from SONY PDW-F335,shooting this footage info:

    Hi Gil,

    Try to match the Adobe Project Preset to the footage, so if shooting XDCAM 1440×1080, then use that preset if it exists.

    As for the audio, if the audio format of the clip doesn’t match the existing tracks, NEW audio tracks are created to match the audio being imported, that is most likely why audio is jumping to other tracks.

    48K 16 bit stereo is normally a good default for audio tracks to match most cameras, what are yours set to? After Importing, if nothing is on tracks 1-4, you CAN just delete them.
