  Nvidia 285m w/CS5 hack issue

  Help!

  Followed the hack (https://www.indiev.org/?p=317) to get mercury playback engine to work with Nvidia 285m

  Nvidia Control Panel shows that I have PREMIERE PRO CS4 installed (new laptop, no chance CS4 was ever installed), and when I navigate to Premiere Pro CS5 and click to add, it doesn’t show up on the list. changed the multi-display/mixedGPU to “compatible” in the PP CS4 settings since that was the only one listed, but mercury playback is still ghosted out in the project

  For those concerned with this issue,
  It seems I have just figured out the solution–
  Simply updating the 285m driver through the device manager isn’t enough, you’ll need this one here called “verde.”

  Duh!

  Now “Mercury Playback Engine GPU Accelerator” AND “software only” are available, no longer ghosted out.
