AFX PC can’t be opened on Mac?!?!
I have a AFX 6.5 PC project file made back in October. My friend’s office went all Mac, now this project opens up fine, no error messages, but all the windows are empty. Like the project window (forgot the proper name for it) has no contents in it, when there should be 10+ compositions, bunch of imported assets, etc…
Any idea what’s going on. Opening it on a G5 mac, AFX 6.5. Back in the day, we’d be swapping AFX files between PC and Mac all the time.

3 different ways? what are they?

1. double-clicking the project file
2. opening from within ae (via file menu)
3. importing a project into the project window (double-clicking on empty space in project window is one way of doing this)question: what is the project’s file size?

4. dragging the project onto the AE application icon.

From the PC, the saved file was around 3.3 MB. I don’t *think* we used any ‘unique’ filters :S.

Are you still having problems opening it, and do you need to? You could send me the file and I can see what I can do 🙂

it’s still not opening. i’m not the one actualy doing it. i’m forwarding the instructions to my employer at the office and he’s having one of his assistants try the different methods out :S
