  MP4 from HD Vado causes complications in Premiere Pro CS4

  I’m working with a Creative Vado HD 3rd Gen, Premiere Pro CS4, Windows 7 64-bit

  I’ve got a project that I’m working on for my church. I was excited to use my new HD Vado for this project. The footage has all come in MP4 format. It’s almost as if each clip causes Premiere to act differently. Some import just fine. Some import only audio. Some import with distorted video. Some import and only half of the audio works. Other times, it causes the program to just crash.

  Does anybody have any thoughts on what may be causing it?

  That video format is simply kind of a pain.

  It might work in the DSLR sequence setting in CS5….my GoPros work well in there, but for CS4, I’d probably try to convert the stuff with MPEG Streamclip to something more predictable.
