Is there a HDV video analyzer available ….
Im looking for software that can check to find out if my digitized hdv footage has any errors in the mpg stream. Problem is when i send out raw hdv footage to editors they will create the project in premiere cs4 and begin logging and editing, then the red x shows up in the bottom right hand corner of premiere in mid project during the editing process.
I would like to be able to verify that the master raw hdv footage im sending out initially is error free.

I’m not familiar with the “Red X” you mention, can you elaborate on what that is, and what issues it brings?

Double click on the red X and see what it says.

“mpeg decode error” is the error message and sometimes it the error message mentions premiere inserts a red frame.
as an update to my issue. i was able to find a solution to one of my current problems that is related.
I was running a cs4 – v.4.1 update and my editor was running a cs4 – v.4.2 update . i updated my software and the red x and mpeg decode error disappeared.
but im still searching for a software that can verify the integrity of a video file to let me know that in fact there isnt any errors within the file.

seems as though i found a product in which would do the job but is a little bit pricey on my end to purchase
does any one else know of a similar product that is under $1000
