Premiere Pro (CS4) I am having a problem rendering/exporting. At first I thought it was just exporting through the encoder (I would get a error when exporting) however after trouble shooting I realize it is rendering a file with an effect attached. This is what is happening.

When I go to render a project in the time line, not all the files render. After a long battle I have realized that the files that have an effect added like drop shadow won’t render. When I select either “render effects in work area”, or render entire work area” the computer goes through the process and even plays back the “so called” rendered clip but the red line stays above the file. Then when I try to export the clip in the encoder, the error message shows up when it gets to that clip. When I cut the effect from the file it then renders completely and I can also export the project fully with no error code. Not good because we all know effects are what put the finishing detail on your project. Any suggestions.

I got this system so I could stop having problems, it should run a rocket to the moon and back. I am so frustrated!
