  batch encoding..clips???

  Hi all,
  Ok, I am, little by little, changing my workflow due to software changes. When I was using After effects, my clips were copy & pasted from Premiere to AE.
  Question:
  Is there a way to batch render all the clips on the timeline?
  For example, I need to make targa sequences of each of my 20 scenes (20 clips)
  This would take forever, if I have to sit there and render out every clip manual.

  Hi Lou,

  Only in Premiere CS4. You will however need to create a new sequence for each individual clip, just like you need different compositions in AE.

  You can also use the standalone Adobe Media Encoder, again, only in CS4.

  yeah, I thought so. However, I think if I select a work area on the timeline/ export media encoder/ then move the work area to the next clip/ export/ etc.. it will batch render that way too.
  But again. it seems like a lot of work.
  Is this how it’s done at the Big House studios?

  For example, After the film is digitized & edited, doesn’t the scenes have to be sent to a DI process that deals with sequences?

  Why can’t there be a way by adding a Marker on every cut. Then, the encoder knows where the cuts are and separate the clips(sort of like “scene detection”)
