  • How do I specify camera to be rendered?

Posted by Jeremy Neish on March 30, 2006 at 8:33 am

I’ve got a complex project with multiple compositions (not nested), and when I render one of my compositions, AE 7 isn’t following the camera like it does in all the other comps, it stays put. I’ve made sure the view is set to the camera I want (Camera 1) but every time I render, it refuses to follow. Yet as I work within comp’s timeline, it moves fine, it just refuses to move at render. I can’t find any differences between this comp an the ones that work. And I can’t find any place to specifically specify which camera POV to render from. Very confused, please help.

AE will always use the camera that is topmost in your comp. If you have multiple cameras, remove the xcess ones or trim them to the area where they are supposed to be active instead of the others.
