  dvd automatic playback and audio cutting out

  I will be as quick with the description as i can
  as a high school broadcast journalism advisor who produces a monthly show with my students…we just placed our new show on our dvd player and leightronix automatic playback timer..

  the dvd plays fine in the tv room on the dvd player, however, when it is playing back on our public access channel two portions of the audio cut out and are not there,

  what could be the problem…..is it the dvd? the player? or a setting in the adobe premiere when the student was editing the story?

  it has us baffled..we have reburned the dvd and on other dvd players it plays fine sometimes?

  we need help with this one?

  I would basically make sure that all the audio tracks were encoded as PCM within Encore. AAC Plus (Dolby), which is available in the Encore encoding settings can cause issues. I can tell you for example, that the audio in those DVDs won’t play in Windows Media player.

  Vince as always right on the mark. I’d also check the project was stereo and not 5.1 where some audio may have been thrown into other audio channels that just aren’t being used on some stereo based systems. Or mono one’s also.
