In After Effects i like using the blend modes to replace an over-exposed sky, or wall with something nicer. Is there a way to do this in Premiere?

I just want the blown out part to be transparent. I don’t want to use the crappy keying in premiere.

    Anyone Had success with this?

    Thanks!

Premiere really isn’t designed for this type of thing. Why not copy and paste the clips in AE? Masks are really your best friend here.

You could probably use this blue to transparent ramp in Photoshop (attached) and use that for sky. Scale the y axis as needed.

Well i have clips that are 45 mins long. After effects will give me a huge file. Plus putting premiere sequences in after effects sometimes creates problems for me. I’ve had multiple 5sec chunks of sequences just disappear after rendering out. Thanks for your help
