  Editing an HD jpeg Sequence

  Hello,

  I am editing a 7 minute animation that is made of about 50 scenes, each scene being a 1920×1080 JPEG sequence .
  The files are heavy, and the movie is impossible to render and edit.
  Should I export each scene to the final export I plan (Quicktime H264 highest quality) and then edit the movie and export again ? Or will the quality diminish ?
  Of course if there’s a way to edit the movie using the original file sequence I would prefer it..

  Why is it that importing the image sequence as a clip and editing that on your timeline is “impossible”?

  I understand it is a lot of raw data. I think it is possible given an adequate system for that specific need.

  Maybe it is indeed possible for faster systems,but on my system it is very slow, and crushes frequently.
  I just discovered that if I export these sequences as Quicktime Animation codec the edit is much faster..
