  YIKES! No keyboard shortcuts??!!!

  System: G5 iMac 1.6 GHZ 1 GB RAM Tiger 1.4.5

  I have recently installed AE 6.5 Professional, an upgrade to my AE 5.5 Professional installed.
  But I am unable to use the keyboard shortcuts, making the upgrade almost useless! Upon starting up AfterEffects, I get “KCHR resource not found. Keyboard shortcuts will be disabled”. And they are indeed disabled! What’s going on? My older version of AE is still installed, in case this might be causing a conflict… I just haven’t removed it because 6.5 is not delivering the goods yet!

  Any ideas? Much appreciated!

  Haaa I love my pc 😉 But hey I still have that G4 handy…

  First, make sure that your keyboard is set the right “language”, it won’t work otherwise.

  If that isn’t the issue, You may need to update your OS if you haven’t done so yet.

  I remember that issue coming up with tiger, it was solved after the update.
