Just bought, for a special project, a new Vivitar camcorder that record HD to an SD card . Well I’m testing it and shooting to see how it does. When imported the footage in to PP CC4, the audio run as normal but the video go at FF. In a 2 minute clip the video run in 10sec and then stay still in the last frame while the audio continue in normal mode until the clip lenght.
I dumped the testing clips from the SD card into the desktop and then I imported into PP
    Look what PP properties say:

    Desktop\IMAG0001.AVI
    Type: AVI Movie
    File Size: 41.4 MB
    Image Size: 1280 x 720
    Pixel Depth: 0
    Frame Rate: 29.97
Source Audio Format: 48000 Hz – 16 bit – Stereo
Project Audio Format: 48000 Hz – 32 bit floating point – Stereo
    Total Duration: 00;01;23;11
Average Data Rate: 507 KB / second
    Pixel Aspect Ratio: 1.0

How is the method for importing footage from SD card into PP? or is a problem with the cam? I can watch ok through media player.

    thanks for any help

    Its a codec problem.
Run the avi thru Gspot and see which codec it is.
