  • Exporting Premiere CS4 settings to Windows7

Posted by Philippe Verdoni on November 20, 2009 at 7:58 am

Before moving from Windows XP to Windows7 I would like to know which files I need to copy in order to save my Premiere settings (exportation to file, keyboard shotcuts…). I guess that the Windows XP files to copy are in the C:\Documents and Settings\User\Application Data\Adobe\Premiere Pro\4.0. My questions are:
    1) which files in this directory are to be copied?
    2) in which Windows7 directory shall I have to paste them?
    Thank you for your help.

Make a local copy of the entire folder from XP, then after you install make a backup copy of the same Win 7 Directory located at:

    C:\Users\{user name}\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Premiere Pro\4.0

From past experience, you should copy everything except the log files and cache. Also exclude “Recent Directories”
