    Just returned to a project after some time away.

    A given clip in the project bin is fine. However, the trimmed version on the same clip on the timeline shows no waveforms and evidently contains no sound. The same clip moved down from the bin to the sound audio track is fine.

    Yes, the audio track is turned on.

    Try dragging the audio to another track.

    Thanks…I may have done that…

    It was suggested on the Adobe.com that one do a “match frame operation” This is done by positioning the CTI over the audio clip, then press M.

    This worked on one of the two parts of the video which had dropped sound…the other had sound when reopened.

    I don’t understand…but whatever.
