    Hi !

I have this strange thing after encoding an MEPG-2 file using AME.
Actually, the .mpg file always crashes windows explorer when clicking on it, leaving me with a reboot. I know some of you guys will say : get yourself a mac, but hey, it isn’t the case.

But, I’d really like to solve that wierd problem.

    Thanks responding to my question,

Likely a corrupt file. Move the remaining files in that folder to a new folder and then delete the folder the corrupt file is in.

Thanks Mr Velte for answering my question.

I thought so too that it might be a corrupt file. I deleted the file and reencoded it numerous times without changes.

But yesterday, I remembered a bug that I had long time ago. Then I sneaked into Windows’ soul and did this :

Right clicked on My Computer ; Went to Properties then Clicked Advanced Tab ; Under Performance, cliked Settings and scrolled down until I saw : Use Common Tasks in Folder. Removed the check and cliked apply.

Boom, no more crashs. It was a Windoze problem.

My problem is solved and I hope it’ll be useful to someone else.

    Thanks again.
