  Batch Logged Clips have vanished

  Hello, I’m new to the forum, and this is my first post.

  I did a search, and didn’t find anything on this, so if this problem has already been resolved, I apologize in advance. That having been said, I’m in a bit of a panic right now.

  I have a time sensitive project that I am working on in Premiere Pro CS4 (v. 4.1.0) for Mac. I’m running OS X 10.5.8. Last night I was up until midnight batch capturing clips from my camera (Canon XH A1), and all clips were loaded. I saved my work, shut down, but when I fired it up this morning, all of the clips were gone!

  I searched my drive, and I found them, along with the xmp sidecar files. However, they aren’t showing up in the clip panel. What gives? Other clips I had captured, and placed in separate bins for organization, are there. But these are not. I really don’t have the 4+ hours to re-log and re-capture the footage. I have tons of other footage I need to grab before I get started on the editing.

  Any ideas?

  Now, it seems that I cannot capture any footage at all!

  Have you tried to import the clips on the hard disc into the project?

  Yes, I have. PP refuses to import it, saying that “File video dimensions (width/height) too large” error. However, I can import the mpegs into Streamclip, export them as QT files, and then they will import into PP.
