Audio / Video alignment problems when exporting
I am pretty new to video editing and dont know much about formats and differences in the diffrent captured videos yet.
I took some videos of a friend doing arieal acrobatics with his camcorder. not sure which one it was. it was a digital video camera that saved videos onto a sdhc card… He gave me all the files on a cd which i converted with mpeg streamclip to a h.264 file 25 fps 704 x 576 so i could pull them into premiere pro.
after cutting the video to a song that we chose for the video i exported the first half of my work to see it all at once.
the problem i encountered was that the audio and the video wernt aligned like they were in my premiere pro timeline. so when the beat dropped in the song the video was a few seconds behind.
could it be that i have the wrong sequence settings… does anybody have any solutions as to what could have caused this problem and what I can do in order to fix it without having to edit the video from the beginning…
should I convert all the files again into a diffrent format for better editing. any suggestions. AIC or pro res 422 are good for editing i belive from what i have been reading.
thanks for your time
