Two versions of Premiere on one machine
Posted by Darryl Corner on August 13, 2009 at 8:40 amHi
Has anyone been happily running two versions of Premiere on the same machine ie Prem1.5 and CS4. I have a client that I pass projects back and forth to and he only has 1.5 and another who needs to work in CS4.
Any conflicts, will installing CS4 in any way mess up my 1.5 installation?
Thanks

August 13, 2009 at 9:10 amIf I remember correctly, you can’t run CS4 with CS3 and if you do you have to clean your machine and start from scratch. Others in here can give you more specifics. Not sure about 1.5.
Good luck.

August 14, 2009 at 5:37 amThat’s great news.
For some reason it was recommended to me to run an Adobe “cleaning utility” to remove CS3 completely BEFORE installing CS4. I was told if I had installed CS4 with CS3 on my machine that I would have to do a total uninstall plus extra steps, then reinstall CS4 after.
Somebody correct me if I’m wrong but there is a link somewhere here on the Cow.
Good luck.
Best,
Todd
