  • How to log and transfer P2 footage

I am going to edit a feature length documentary and would like the director to get a head start and log (on a laptop running Premiere Pro) the footage he intends to use, so that I can simply come in and use what he selected. What is the proper way to do this?
    Thx

If he has PPro CS3 with the latest updates, or CS4, you simply import the stuff and go.

Log and transfer is an FCP thing. PPro just runs the stuff. Native.

If you were having the material somehow culled and you just wanted the selects, PPro’s project manager can actually trim the projects to just the selects, and it will still be P2 material.
