  • Timecode effect generating interlaced video in Premiere CS4

    Hello everybody,

I’m editing a series of videos that does not come with the original timecode stamped on the file, so I’m using Premiere Pro’s timecode effect to add it while editing. I had done it in the past without any issues, but this time, for some reason when I add it to a couple of my clips the video gets interlaced, regardless of being interpreted correctly. The strangest of all is that I have several clips loaded in the sequence, and all of them are working fine, it’s only this two the ones that are behaving weirdly. I already removed the effect, reinterpreted the footage, re imported it and nothing, the interlacing appears as soon as I add the timecode effect.

My footage is .MTS, shot with a Canon Vixia HF 100.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance,

    D.
