  • Quick Text anchor point…

when using quick text in v7, it seems the default axis point for any font is the bottom left side??? not in the center of the font that you create?

is there a way in preferences to shift to anchor point by default to the center of the text you create?

if not? what’s the easiest way to do it? i hate hitting ‘a’ and adjusting it that way. in v7 they took axis point away from the tool bar, i had been using 5.5 and it was in the toolbar?

    help~

    thanks fellas~

Text alignment is managed using the paragraph tab on your text palette. Whatever option is active at time of creating the text will be used as the default.

    no, i found it~

it’s the ‘pan behind tool’ of all things…confusing, but that tool doubles up as the axis position tool…

    thanks!
