  Help with Rendering Settings

  Hello all,

  This Forum on APP-CS3 has been a great source of information.
  But I find myself with a subject that I can not make any headway on and could use some help.

  I handle Digital Media for a District Attorney Office. In this capacity I am using CS3 to do editing of various types of videos; crime scenes, video statements, Judges rulings that need to be implemented quickly while we are at trial, etc.

  My problem is that I can’t seem to find the best rendering settings to get my video onto a disc quickly. Right now the best settings end up with a ratio of approx 1 hour of video = 3+/- hours of rendering time, then burn to disc time.

  I know this is pretty vague, but I could use any help that could be thrown my way.

  I am pretty computer savy and can provide hardware-computer information to anyone that asks, but I did not want to clutter up the forum with information that might not be needed.

  We could use some computer specs as well as properties for your source video and export settings.
  On a average system like my Core 2Duo 3.0, most SD DV video gets encoded to Mpeg 2 DVD is less than real time, even with Levels applied.

  Maybe you can save time by playing the timeline back to miniDV tape and show the result from tape in a camera or minDV deck
