Activity Forums Adobe Premiere Pro cannot capture in high quality

When I capture from tape (I have a Sony HVR-M25U vtr) the captured footage is pixelated. I cannot see a sharp bright image. This happens because of Macintosh I think…

When I capture the same footage in windows (avi) the captured footage looks normal.

So is there a way to capture in full quality in Macintosh Premiere Pro CS4? (Premiere’s capturing is limited to QuickTime only.)

I also see another problem maybe linked to this situation: Media Coder renders in a lower quality than I have chosen. I choose QT/animation but my output file is like a low settings of gif image…

    Thanks for helping…

Right click on your program monitor and select quality… is it selected at highest?

For capturing, what are your quicktime settings? Quicktime can capture uncompressed and DV as well.

For your export settings, click the double arrow and make sure you have the quality and size setup correctly. Report back if your not able to drive the quality up by tailoring these settings.
