  Red bar on the right side during dissolve on exports

  A friend of mine has asked me to resolve this issue.

  He gets a red bar on the right side of exported clips during dissolves to black. I couldn’t reproduce the issue on my side.

  I checked all the obvious issues. CS4, clean install, latest update, no filters, latest drivers on Quadro FX 3400 (also tried a 8600 GTS), no special hardware except for a 3ware card running a RAID 10, no luck in solving it. It happens on any footage, any export, pretty consistent.

  Anyone else seen this?

  The transtitions tend to be a bit buggy in CS4. Try adding a keyframe for the opacity for the clips or stills involved. No need to tweek.

  Can your friend reproducse the problem in a new project?

  Apparently any project, even a simple image produces that red bar, it’s about 2-3 pixels, goes from top to bottom.
