    Has anybody noticed that the color in the source video window is slightly different than the timeline video window?

    I generally would like my video to look the color of my source window, but when I put it into the timeline and play it, it looks slightly different in color and maybe even lightness ever so slightly.

    Does anyone know why this is? I use CS4 but it was also that way with 6.0.

    No difference here. Is it possible that you are looking at render files with a different bit depth?

    It often depends on your display card. The overlay layer is often handled differently from the interface, and the source window is often handled as interface while the program window (and any monitors driven by program output) is handled as overlay.

    I know NVIDIA cards do this… Of course your master output or external monitor is what you should use as reference…
