I just installed the production studio and everything seems great with the exception of AE. It won’t launch and I’m pretty sure I know why. I’ve got an NVDIA Quadro 3400 and I checked on Adobe’s site and sure enough that open GL card is not on the supported list. What are my options? (I know…buy a new card….)

What kind of error message do you get when you start AE? Or does it not give one at all?

Clla tech support….it is one of the only times that you will actually be able to get free Adobe tech support….they give free support for installation issues.

I had this problem. I updated my video driver and the problem went right away.

Have you installed any new plugins? If so, uninstall them and try again.

This is the first install of the Suite…we just got it today. I have managed to get AE going by removing the Open GL plug-in. So now AE works, but I have no Open GL. I can’t update to the latest driver because this is our DS Nitris and Avid doesnt support the latest NVIDIA driver! So it seems I’m stuck between a rock and a hard place. So for the time being I’ll work this way. Although from what I’ve heard so far about 7.0, Open GL is a pain anyway. So maybe this isn’t such a great loss.
    Thanks for the help!
