    Hi,

I shot some footage on an XD CAM EX in the MXF format at 50 mbp/s. Now I need to know how I can convert/change these MXF files for editing in CS4 because right now, no player on my computer can play the files and CS4 cannot import the files. Does anyone know what I can do? I working with a deadline so any information would be greatly appreciated!

Working on Windows Vista 32 bit
    Adobe Premiere CS4.1

    Had the same problem here.

Premiere can not handle these files at this stage (the 50Mbps files). I got a mate with Vegas Pro 8 (which handles the files natively) to import them and them export them into a format I could use. This is the only workaround I know of unless someone has a better solution. Maybe a trial version of Vegas would do the trick for your project this time.

    Hope this might help

    Never tried Elecard Converter Studio?
You can Download the demo then see…………
Other try should be MainConcept DV codec with TMPGEnc (I usually work with it, in these cases).
You can import with TMPGE then, as output preferences, you’ll find the MainConcept option to output your file as a DV type2 (PP likes too much it, is its native)
    Hope this helps you.
    Ciao
