  • CS4 screwing with AVI framerates in CS3 projects?

Posted by Martin Oberhaus on April 8, 2009 at 3:07 pm

i just opened a CS3 project in CS4 and for some reason some of the AVIs in the project were screwed up. the video track seems to be slowed down a lot – approximately one frame every 24 seconds. the framerate in the AVI file’s properties is still listed as 25fps though.

converting the original AVIs to something else and re-importing won’t help because this way i’ll lose all my edits.

    any suggestions?

Try creating a new project in CS4 and import the original CS3 project. That sometimes works better.

I have the same problem with CS4. I have recorded a movie in HD format (h.246), and then converted it fron MP4 to AVI. When i put it in the timeline in premiere it dose not show the compleat movie just a few frames. Although the sound works perfekt.
Another thing I discoverd was that in After Effects the video works but not the sound. I have tried to install Codecs and stuff but it just dosnt work in premiere.
