I have some clips on the timeline in CS4 that I previously unliked and deleted the video. How do I find the accompanying video portion and restore it with the audio? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In cs3: With the cti over the orphaned audio clip, and its corresponding audio track highlighted, press ‘M’ for match frame. In the source monitor, the original footage will appear with the audio in/out points set to “match” the timeline clip. You need to reset the video in/out points by going to the audio in point and setting a master in ‘I’, and going to the audio out point and setting a master out ‘O’. Now you can drag and replace the clip with its video track attatched.

Side note: Going to the audio in/out points in the source monitor requires you to right click the source cti and choose ‘Goto clip marker > audio in’. If you only have a few clips to re-link this won’t be a problem. But if you have many clips to alter, I suggest creating keyboard shortcuts in the preference menu. I use this all the time and mapped the [,] keys for video in/out, and shift+[,] for audio in/out.
