  AE7 clone brush on 2k files

  Hi

  Is it me or is the clone brush in AE7 on film rez frames useless!
  Im working on 2k frames 2048×1556 and am up to paint stroke 56 (yes that is 56) and its ground to a halt. Paint strokes take ages to update and cloning from one frame to another becomes impossible.I’m on a duel 2.5ghz mac with 4k ram

  Maybe I should go back to Commotion? but then its not 16 or 32bit painting.
