Applying Transitions

March 14, 2009 at 4:41 amIf all your clips are in the project panel, you can automate them to the sequence and the default transition will be applied automatically.
If your cuts are already on the timeine, you’ll have to add the dissolves manually. But that’s really not a big deal if you use the keyboard shortcuts. You navigate through the timeline with the page up/down keys and hit CTRL+D at each cut to apply the video transition. I actually changed the default shortcut to ‘E’ on my system which makes it a bit easier.

March 14, 2009 at 3:54 pmCS4: marque all the clips you want the transition applied to and ‘Apply Default Transitions to Selection’ from the Sequence drop down menu.
For video or audio only marque with the Alt key pressed.
