  • Auto adding transitions to video and audio in Premiere CS3

Well, problem is: I often have a lot of clips (with a total duraton of 2 hours and more) for which I have to make transition for video (cross dissolve) and audio (first clip fade out, second fade in) in very short period of time. I tried with shortcut Ctrl+d and Ctrl+Shift+D and it is very slow and anoying to do that for half an hour. And one more thing, I don’t like that
“Insufficient media. This transition will contain repeated frames” sign.
The question is, can I simply import clips into Timeline and do something to apply transition of video and audio?
Sorry for my bad english, thanx in advance

The function you are looking for is called “automate to sequence”. It will add the transitions for you. Read the help file for it in Premiere, or google it. If you are generating clips from one main video file, you need to create sub-clips and place them in a folder in the project bin, instead of dragging to the timeline.
