  Audio properties

  Hi,

  I’m new to Premiere and already feel like lost.
  I have a Sony VX2000 camcorder. I read that if I use an external mic than it’s going to be mono only.
  I captured the video to my computer and checked the files audio setups and don’t know where to look for or how to figure it out whether it is really mono or stereo. The sequence file says its 16bit stereo. It can’t be

  I read on lots of forums, that people see or hear it that the sound is only on the left channel. How can I find this? Where do they find this info? In my headphones I hear the audio on the left and on the right side also.
  Please help.

  Your audio is stereo, but with only one channel. Once in the timeline you can duplicate the one channel with the “Fill Left” (or right) Audio Effect.
