  • Help with Premiere Pro capture settings!

Is there a way with Premiere Pro to capture a whole VHS tape with out it stopping at every little break? I have tons of tapes I need to capture and dont have time to sit there and babysit each tape to start it back up where it left off due to a cut between scenes. I have used Windows Movie maker and Scenalyzer live to try and capture…both with the same results.

Is there something I am missing? I do have Premiere Pro…would that be a better capturing software? Is there some setting that I just dont realize to set? These tapes are old VHS tapes of home movies, etc. They are pretty old, so I am trying to capture before these just die on me! I am using a firewire VHS deck to do the capturing.

    Any thoughts? HELP!

    hi Joe,

Did you check the capture settings to see if the box labeled abort capture on dropped frames? >edit>pref>capture
