  CS3 Premiere Pro boot up error that occurs with any install I use

  Okay this problem is a VERY VERY weird problem because it just happened and I have no idea why, I have no idea how and obviously I have no clue on how I can fix this problem of mine, but sit back and hear my tale because it started a while ago..

  Okay so here we go, when I purchased my computer the company I got it from put on all the Adobe software I would need for school but they never gave me the discs for it and I was quite pleased because I have been using it for a year now without any problems.

  However last Monday around 3 AM I was working on a personal project and was using Premiere just to get some times written down on paper because doing that in After Effects can be quite a pain when you can’t hear the sound in your workspace. I had school that day and received a nice assignment I could do at home and so I came home and decided to do it and booted up Premiere, however after the purple loading screen it disappeared and windows popped up and told me the application had to be terminated for some reason, it never clearly stated why…

  So I thought heck I can repair it by reinstalling it but then found out I didn’t have the original setup, the pc company had it and never gave me the discs. I still had an ISO I used at internship several months before and decided to remove the Master Suite and put it back on thinking it might solve it and just to be clear my Master Suite had 3 programs Encore, After Effects and Premiere the rest was installed with the Designer Suite. So I did it and eventually found out that this only made things worse because After Effects decided to join the party crashing by displaying me errors in the Library and a R6025 -pure virtual function call message before shutting down, so I uninstalled the two and retried which then resulted with After Effects telling me it couldn’t unpack the file formats and effects. I have been in this loop for about 5 hours and 6 tries until I got sick of it, every install I did resulted with the first error and when I redid it I received the second following up by again the first and on and on and on…. >.>;
  I also scanned my PC for any viruses or anything in that category but it resulted to zero and system restore helped nothing either

  And so I called the company who build this computer and they picked it up from my house, after a week I called and asked if they knew what the problem was and they then told me this which made me furious:
  They looked and tried some things but because I used an illegal version when I tried to fix the problem myself they decided they didn’t want to get their hands dirty, so I told them that the first one was put up by them I was answered by the comment we don’t put up illegal software… I didn’t know if the one they put on when I purchased it was illegal or not, heck I don’t care and this case is still not finished because I have proof that they installed my Adobe the first time and that this version was suddenly crashing. It is as if you aren’t allowed to try and fix something yourself, I was only trying to save some cash and not pay the vast amount of money they ask for a mechanic (when you internet refuses to work, you first check if something is going on that is outside your control right? How would you react if the mechanic would then say they refuse to work for you because you tried to fix it yourself)

  But anyway that case is still going because the guy that was helping me isn’t the same who helped building my PC and putting the software on. So I got back my computer and found out they had removed my Designer Suite and had reinstalled my Master Suite, After Effects worked fine but Premiere now gives me this error and this is a translation of it because it was displayed in Dutch

  an exception unknown exception in software (0xc0000409) has occurred in the application on location 0x06ad5389

  So I removed Premiere from the Master Suite again and downloaded the trial setup to see if it would work if I use a different setup but nothing changed and the same error popped up again after Premiere loads and I am getting to the end of my wits, I googled but found nothing I also made a post on the Adobe Forums but I wanted to know what my fellow cow’s thought of this case and if perhaps they can help me with a solution to this strange problem.. I might just get CS4 if this goes on and see if that one does work… would be a shame if because of this I would be unable to use any Premiere program again on this computer

  Could be something corrupt in the User Profile. Suggest creating a new Windows XP User and trying to launch Premiere from it.

  I tried what you suggested and it made no difference, the same error popped up even when using a different acount
