    Archiving projects permiere pro 2.0
I am having trouble when trying to trim project.
A 30second edit can trim to about 10.8G when the original project size is 11.1G.
When trimmed, the project seems to include all the footage instead of just the clips used, (I do ussually capture all the footage at once when starting a project).
I have tried copying the edit to a new project, and this does reduce the size of the trimmed project dramatically, however then an unknown error occurrs during the opperation.
Any help would be much appreciated
    Thankyou

Do you have any titles in the project?

Some of the projects are straight footage (avi’s) some do have titles, would that make a difference?
I dragged the project onto another computer, and before the sound had accessed and rendered it trimmed to a small project, but after the project was complete the trimmed project was big again. The sound is ussually just VO avi’s which I have broken out to mono and have dynamics on, I also sometimes put music on which are mp3’s.
    Should this make a difference?

For whatever reason, if you create a title in Prem 2.0 (which has embedded graphics in it) Prem craps itself when it comes to trimming it. As an experiment try removing the embedded graphics in the titles and trimming the project. If that doesn’t improve things try deleting all the titles complete and try again – you’ll prob notice it trims perfectly well now!!

In prev versions of Prem titles were created as separate files. In prem 2.0 the titles are built into the project file. And they stop you from trimming your project.
