I have Adobe Premiere Pro, and also have Pinnacle Studio 11, and want to do some basic analog capturing from a VRC. I can get it easily enough through the Canon XLH1 that I use at work, but at home I don’t have a camera to run through. I have a usb-A/V cable that came with an older version of Pinnacle (7 I think) but neither program recognizes it. I also have A/V and SVideo inputs on my computer, but neither program recognizes them. I only have the option to capture from a DV source. My question is, do I have to run this VRC through a camera, or is there another way to go straight into Premiere?

An ADS Pyro A/V Link for about $160 from B&H will convert analog to DV.

if your running xp or vista you can use windows media encoder, it has pretty solid support for analog capture devices and should let you capture to a format that you can then bring into PPRO
