  copy and paste to new sequence

  just an FYI. Often I will be editing, find a clip I want to use for another project, like a blooper reel or whatever, so I copy it, and paste into a new sequence. I believe in CS3 and earlier you could copy a clip, make a new sequence, and paste. In CS4 if you copy a clip then make a new sequence, the clipboard is erased. Just calls for a change in habit, not a big deal.

  What happens if you make the sequence first, then copy from another sequence, go back into the newly created sequence and try to paste? I’d try it myself but I’m not at the office right now.

  You can select the clip and make a sub clip of it. This subclip will be available from your Bin at any point in time for future use in a new sequence or in the one your working on, in CS4

  I should get in the habit of using subclips. You have to make the sequence first, before copying and pasting. No big deal.

  Ahh, no big deal but yeah, that is a little weird. The subclip thing is nice too, aside from not having all of the media to slip/slide with but still not a big deal.
