  Pan/Zoom, film effect

  Is there any way to pan/zoom in premiere pro CS3 or CS4. If not are there any free plugins that get the job done.

  Right now I am thinking of rendering and using sony vegas to pan/zoom. It doesn’t make any sense that software as robust as premiere pro doesn’t have this simple and much needed feature.

  Currently I can resize the frame and then move the actual image to pan, but this is tedious and doesn’t give the best results.

  I am also interested in the settings that others have used to make their project look more like a film. Ideally I download the magic bullet plugin but that is too expensive, any thoughts.

  Very simple to do in PPro. You will find links to many free tutorials in the PremiereProPedia that will quickly show you how things are done in Premiere Pro.

  Thanks, that site is going to come in very helpful. I can’t seem to find any information on how to pan though; any ideas? Thanks again.

  Sure, the keywords you want to search on are “keyframe”, “scale” (zoom) and “position” (pan).
