PPro CS4 audio out of sync
I Started this project in CS3 and All was well except for the export from encore was not working correctly. I am editing a HDV Project 1440×1080 and exporting to blue ray and dual layer DVD’s. After fighting with it for several days I purchased the new CS4 version and decided to give it a shot. Uninstalled cs3 used cleaner to remove all left over files and installed CS4. Now all of my audio was out of sync by at least a second. So after fighting with it again to try to correct this problem I uninstalled CS4 and went back to CS3 because I found the problem with CS3 to be Encore needed to be run in administrator mode to be able to render dual layer disks. But to my surprise now my audio is out of sync and unrecoverable if I play the captured files directly from window media player all is fine audio is in sync and crystal clear.
I am at a loss and don’t want to have to re-edit a 2.5 hour wedding ceremony from the beginning again any help would be appreciated.

Hi Brandon,
Adobe “Conforms” the audio in a project, creating new high resolution audio files to work with behind the scenes. I believe if you recreated those audio files it may solve the sync issue.
I think the files are in the “Media Cache” folder associated with your project. With Premiere closed, try renaming that folder (something like “xMediaCache”, you can always change it back), then launch the problem project. It should rebuild the audio clips.

Hi Bryan,
Something else you might try is to create a NEW project, then Import the original project into it, this helps often with corrupted projects

Well now it wont render says error compiling movie unknown error, But on a positive note the audio seems to be right now
