I’m putting in a slideshow consisting of about 1000 pictures (ugh, i know). I have all the pics in order in the timeline with straight cuts between them. Is there a shortcut in PP CS1 for placing the same transition (a crossfade, for example) between all the pictures on the timeline without having to drag it down over each cut? Here’s hoping!

    Brian,
    There is a shortcut.

Ctrl+D = applies default video transition and its set length
    (in Preferences)

Ctrl+Shift+D = applies default audio transition and its set length
    (in Preferences)

Best practice would be to use the PgUp and PgDn Keys to snap to the cuts with the right hand and use the transition shortcuts with the left hand, snap – apply trans, snap – apply trans…

    Cheers, JOn 😉

Does 1.5 have the Automate to timeline function in the Project panel fly out (tiny arrow in right hand portion of window)…

This should do what you want…
