Please can you recommend export settings for Premiere Pro 1.5
I am trying to export a movie from my laptop running Vista Home Basic with 1.5GB ram with the end result being a 1 minute long flash movie on my website (the footage is a simple head shot of someone talking to the camera).
I am recording the footage on a Sharp VL-Z500 and importing it to my laptop using Windows Movie Maker.
I then import the footage into PPRO 1.5 and add a title (imported Photoshop document) at beginning and end.
Everything works perfectly well up to this point.
I then export the whole movie as a high quality Quicktime file. I then use the Adobe Flash CS3 Video Encoder to render the file as an FLV.
Now my problem is I cannot get this one minute FLV file to play right through without stalling (about ten seconds in).
I have tried:
– Downgrading Quicktime player and exporting Premiere Project
– Inserting a silent track through the whole movie in-case the audio wasn’t syncing properly
– Downgrading Firefox (stalls in whatever browser I try)
– Uninstalling and re-installing Flash Player
– Uninstalling and downgrading Flash Player
– Adding cue points at various places in the movie (including beginning and end)I feel I may now be making my objective (a simple 1 minute flash movie) hugely over complicated.
Please can you offer a guide to exporting my Premiere Project so I can get a Quick Time movie to convert to an FLV through Adobe Flash CS3 Video Encoder.

what data rate are you using in Flash video encoder?

Hi Mike, thanks for the response.
Because I’m totally new to Premiere I’m not sure what the data rate is, think I’ve been concentrating on trying different FPS settings.
I’ll go over the process I’ve been using and post the number back.
Could this potentially have an impact on a final FLV file.

Hi Mike, data rate of original captured file is 28966kbps at 24frames/second.
The footage was captured from my video camera using PPro.
Since last note I’ve even tried downloading PPro CS4 trial version and exporting directly to an FLV file.
Once uploading to my website it still stalls just after the intro a few seconds in.
Please can you offer anything I could try to get this 1 min video to play completely.
Would not using the FLV component make any difference.I’ve just been linking the holder in the HTML page to the FLV file then uploading FLV file and additional required files.
Used the FLV component initially and it made no difference anyway.
It works perfectly OK locally so I can;t figure out why it won’t works once on the web server.
