DV project won’t play back
Hello,
I have a DV project that was captured with via firewire from a MiniDV deck. I’ve moved the hard drive into an editing suite, now when I press play nothing happens. It just stares blankly at me. It also is not displaying the image on my monitor.
I also have a Blackmagic DV project on this computer that will play back. It also displays properly on the monitor.
In the playback settings I don’t have the option to change to Blackmagic or Decklink.
My guess is that the only way around this is to create a new Blackmagic DV project, as oppposed to a regular DV project. However, I’ve already done lots of edits…
Is there any way to tell Premiere that I would like it to please play back my video and sent it to my monitor?

This is pretty weird. I’m working on another DV project and it won’t play back. I searched google and here I’ve found my very own forum post… This project is not a Blackmagic project. Just a basic DV project. For some reason when I press play the video won’t play back, but the timecode runs and the cursor moves…
It’s pretty frustrating to edit this since I can’t actually ‘watch’ anything.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
It’s Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 on a computer that can normally handle uncompressed video with no issues.
